Healthy and very tasty Bell pepper millet rice suitable for everyone. With all the available ingredients in your kitchen, it can be prepared very easily.

Equipment

  • 1 Stainless steel vessel/Kadai

Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cups Little millet
  • 2 tbsp Peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp Chana dal
  • 1/2 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp jeera
  • 1 tsp Til/Sesame seeds
  • 6 number Red Chilli
  • 2-3 tbsp Cold pressed Groundnut Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 10 leaves Curry leaves approx.
  • 1 number Onion medium sized
  • 1/2 tsp Salt Natural Salt or rock salt
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 number Bell Pepper/Capsicum 3 colours
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • Few leaves Coriander

Instructions
 

  • Take Stainless steel vessel and dry roast 2 tbsp peanuts
    2 tbsp Peanuts
  • Add 1/2 tsp chana dal and 1/2 tsp urad dal
    1/2 tsp Chana dal, 1/2 tsp Urad dal
  • Add 1 tsp coriander seeds (dhania) and add 1/2 tsp jeera into it
    1 tsp coriander seeds, 1/2 tsp jeera
  • Add 1 tsp Sesame seeds and mix
    1 tsp Til/Sesame seeds
  • Add 5-6 red chillies and roast them all
    6 number Red Chilli
  • After that grind the entire mixture in the form of coarse powder
  • Now take another kadai and pour 2-3 tbsp groundnut oil
    2-3 tbsp Cold pressed Groundnut Oil
  • Add 1 tsp mustard seeds after heating
    1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Now add few curry leaves and mix well
    10 leaves Curry leaves
  • Add chopped medium sized onion into it
    1 number Onion
  • Now add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and mix well
    1/2 tsp Salt, 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Close the lid and cook for 3-5 min
  • Now add chopped bell peppers into it and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 5 min
    3 number Bell Pepper/Capsicum
  • Add 1/2 tsp garam masala and mix well
    1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • Now add the previously made masala powder and mix well. Adjust salt to taste
    1/2 tsp Salt
  • Now add Little millet rice into this mixture and mix well. You may choose any choice of 5 millets.
    2.5 cups Little millet
  • Mix well until all the rice and veggies are well mixed
  • Close the lid and cook for last 2-3 min
  • Finally add few Coriander leaves for garnishing and serve this healthy recipe.
